With booking business/first class during business summer months, especially using BA Companion Certificate for redemption, I’ve learned you’ve got to book this type of trip out at least 9-12 months. For me it was about 12 months to make sure I got the dates I needed.

We booked British Airways Club World (business) seats roundtrip from/to DFW (Dallas Fort Worth) to FRA (Frankfurt). Here is a screenshot of the retail price ($17464.04) for these segments: BA - DFW to FRADue to limited availability with BA flights when booking, we then used United points to get where we wanted to around Europe on Lufthansa. Here is a screenshot of the retail price ($7119.90, yeah ridiculous) from FRA-NCE-PRG-FRA:LH- FRA,NCE,PRG,FRAThe hotels chosen were based upon trip reviews read online, and centralized locations. Plus whatever points were available. First up Waldorf Hilton London for 240,000 points, or pay $3145:Waldorf Hilton LondonThen was the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee for 48,000 points, or pay $2503.61:Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la MediterraneeLast on our trip was the Hilton Prague Old Town. The price was just too low to use points, so opted for cash with this one. We paid $343.22 for 3 nights. Turned out to be a great value:Hilton Prague Old Town
